Created in 1976 CRID is a network of about 50 associations united by the same vision of international solidarity: partnership and development based education.

CRID conducts numerous campaigns to challenge public decision-makers and mobilize.
In addition, CRID coordinates the dynamics of the World Social Forums in France, a meeting place for alterglobalization movements around the world.
Finally, the CRID contributes to many collective dynamics in France: Collectif pour une transition citoyenne, Osons les Jours Heureux, Tournons la page, ALLISS, Educasol,...

Among its activities:

• In 2015, during the Cop21, CRID coordinated the Climate 21 Coalition, which bought together more than 130 organizations.
• Since December 2017, CRID has been participating to "Etats Généraux des Migrations".
• Every two years, it organizes a major event bringing together actors from social movements and international solidarity in France. In 2018 it was in Grenoble from 22 to 26 August: the Summer University.
• For 20 years now, CRID has been coordinating and co-piloting the "Festival des Solidarités"
