This network is composed by people who dedicate themselves to the study of the relations between nanotechnology, society and environment in a multidisciplinary vision, including all sciences (Exact, Human, Natural), as well as, to the process of public engagement in nanotechnology to inform, form and discuss nanotechnology with the non-specialist public. RENANOSOMA organizes every year the international seminar nanotecnology, society and environment - SEMINANOSOMA.
RENANOSOMA was founded on 18/10/2004 during the 1st international seminar nanotecnology, society and environment - SEMINANOSOMA, held at the Japanese Cultural Center/ FFLCH/ USP, from 18 to 20/10/04.
Since its foundation, Dr. Paulo R. Martins has been its coordinator.
