, by  L.A. Coalition

Meeting with Andrea Menapace, from the Italian Coalition for Civil Liberties and Rights (CILD)

Zoom link below (meeting with simultaneous interpretation)

The Coalition for Associative Liberties, in the framework of the European programme Civitates, invites you to participate in a one-hour video conference with Andrea Menapace, experienced player of the Italian civil society. Andrea has worked for several associations and civil society players in Italy and the United Kingdom. He is currently the Executive Director of the Italian Coalition for Civil Rights and Freedoms, which fights against the shrinking of the democratic space in Italy, and President of the European network Liberties.eu.

This videoconference meeting will take place on Monday 26 April from 12:00 to 13:00

Andrea Menapace will begin by presenting the impact of Covid-19 and the health crisis on Italian civil society, a crisis that has occurred in an already difficult political context. What challenges has this situation posed to civil society already under pressure and, in particular, to the Italian Coalition for Civil Rights and Freedoms? What have been the responses of civil society and what are the current perspectives and challenges?

This presentation will be followed by an exchange with the participants, who will be able to share, with Andrea, their analysis of the situation in France.

Simultaneous French/Italian interpretation will be provided to follow the conference in French.

Come and exchange with Andrea Menapace, on Italian civil society and on the work of the Italian Coalition for Civil Rights and Freedoms.
