  • Palestine: Resuming the offensive

    , by Mustafa Barghouti

The occupation government continues to intensify its exactions in a number of areas. This shows the importance of the leaked statement by US diplomats to their international counterparts regarding the non-compliance with UN Resolutions 242 and 338 and other international resolutions.

  • The Right to Inheritance and to Return, Keys to Peace in Palestine

, by Ilan Pappe, Orient XXI, Tamar Yaron, Uri Davis

The “peace process” which culminated in the Oslo Accords in 1993 has failed to ignore two key issues: the nature of the State of Israel and that of the right of return of the Palestinians expelled in 1948. However, in 2005, a United Nations special rapporteur, Paulo Sérgio Pinheiro, defined “Principles” on the return of the housing of deportees or displaced. Precise and detailed, they deserve to be re-read in the light of the international community’s continuing passivity on Palestinian rights.

  • Rights of Indigenous Peoples

    , by Aurélie Journée-Duez

Since 1992, the “500 Years of Indigenous, Black and Popular Resistance” Campaign and the Rio Earth Summit, Indigenous Peoples are more and more represented in the different Social Forums, the counter summits and the international meetings. They bring their own worldview and another way of seeing it and perceiving it. Their unique relationships to the land, their territories, and the environment, are some assets in order to create a new society, full of social and climate justice. It is time to listen to them and support them in the defense of their rights in a decolonial perspective and in the building of another future. These are the reflections, goals and reclaims, that the working group “Rights of Indigenous Peoples” by Intercoll, wants to highlight, put in on common and support.
